Tetra Tech, Inc. (Pasadena, CA) announced that it is one of three firms to receive a contract from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to provide architectural and engineering services related to sustainable infrastructure development in Afghanistan. The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract has a ceiling of $750 million and is primarily focused on improving Afghanistan’s water and energy infrastructure. Water-related issues to be addressed under the contract include household, community, and urban water supply, wastewater management, water reuse, watershed management, and dam and reservoir design and construction. Energy-related work will include support for the development of thermal, hydropower, solar, wind, transmission and distribution, and energy efficiency and conservation projects.
