Image Microsystems, Inc. (Austin, TX), a recycler and refurbisher of electronic products, announced that it has expanded its network of e-waste recycling and MicroStrate sign substrate manufacturing facilities through the acquisition of a 100,000-square-foot facility in Kyle, Texas. “Our new Kyle plant is just the first of five planned e-waste recycling and MicroStrate sign substrate manufacturing facilities we have planned,” said Alex Abadi, Image Microsystems’ CEO. “Due to the overwhelming demand for our MicroStrate signage as well as the growth of our asset recovery business, we’re launching a dramatic expansion program, which will eventually include the investment of over $30 million and facilities in California, Florida, Michigan, and Pennsylvania in addition to the Kyle plant.” Abadi added that the company is re-modeling the Kyle facility to expand its capacity to handle more than 250,000 pounds of e-waste plastics per day.
